L’unità surround Dolby Atmos Klipsch R-40SA consente di aggiungere nuove funzionalità a tutti i monitor e gli speaker da pavimento della gamma. Si tratta quindi di un diffusore Dolby Atmos che può essere utilizzato anche come altoparlante surround.
Il collegamento avviene attraverso gli appositi cavi di connessione con terminali binding post placcati in oro abilmente nascosti nel retro. Questi permettono di celare l’impatto estetico in maniera totale. I collegamenti per i modelli R-800F e R-600F, a questo proposito, sono già inclusi nella confezione.
Dal punto di vista tecnico, risposta in frequenza e sensibilità sono conformi alle specifiche Dolby Atmos. L’impedenza nominale è di 8 ohm con frequenza di crossover di 4440 Hz. La potenza gestibile è di 50 W, con picco a 100 W.
La configurazione interna vede la presenza di un driver per le alte frequenze da 1 pollice. Il tweeter LTS è affiancato a un sistema di caricamento a tromba Tractrix Horn 90° x 90°, in grado di offrire performance senza compromessi su tutto lo spettro. Le basse frequenze sono appannaggio di un woofer da 4 pollici con cono in rame filato in TCP, polimero cristallino termoforato.
Esteticamente, R-40SA riesce a mantenere una coerenza di fondo rispetto all’estetica complessiva Klipsch. Il cabinet in MDF rinforzato e antigraffio garantisce solide performance, e contribuisce a ridurre le possibili distorsioni.
