Annunciati al CES 2022 di Las Vegas, gli speaker da pavimento Klipsch R-800F sono ricchi di innovazioni tecniche, pur senza rinunciare alle classiche caratteristiche dei prodotti della casa di Indianapolis.
L’aggiunta più importante sembra essere quella relativa a un nuovo design del tweeter Linear Travel Suspension in alluminio da 1 pollice. A questo si abbina un sistema di caricamento a tromba Tractrix Horn 90°x 90°, che oltre a dare alla cassa il tipico aspetto squadrato Klipsch, regala una migliore spazializzazione su un range di frequenze più elevato. Le basse frequenze, invece, vengono gestite da due woofer da 8 pollici con cupola in rame filato; si tratta di soluzioni chiaramente ispirate alle generazioni precedenti della straordinaria Reference Series. Sul retro, inoltre, spicca la porta Tractrix Port, pensata per una migliore gestione dei flussi d’aria.
Parlando di specifiche tecniche, il dato sulla risposta in frequenza è pari a 34 Hz – 21 kHz, con sensibilità di 98 dB, impedenza su 8 ohm e frequenza di crossover di 1.400 Hz. La potenza gestibile è di 150 W, con picco a 600 W.
Appare molto interessante concentrarsi anche sull’aspetto estetico di questi speaker. Apparecchi che sono evidentemente molto eleganti, grazie al cabinet in MDF rinforzato e capace di ridurre le vibrazioni. Nessun dettaglio viene lasciato al caso. Come le connessioni per unità Dolby Atmos, nascoste abilmente alla vista sul retro degli speaker. L’intera struttura, in aggiunta, è resistente ai graffi, e quindi sa far fronte alla prova del tempo.
