La prima cosa che salta all’occhio di questo Vincent CD-S7 DAC è sicuramente l’inserto centrale che esalta le valvole interne di fabbricazione russa e cinese. Si tratta di un segno distintivo di un prodotto che riesce a entusiasmare, sia dal punto di vista tecnico che stilistico.

Cominciando a parlare proprio della configurazione tecnica, va sottolineato l’apporto del DAC Burr-Brown PCM 1796 (24 bit/192 Hz), che lavora di concerto con le già citate valvole per processare i segnali digitali. Altri motivi di interesse provengono dall’analisi della distorsione armonica, inferiore allo 0,005%, e del rapporto segnale/rumore, maggiore di 94 dB. La risposta in frequenza è quella classica, visto che si attesta in un intervallo compreso tra 20 Hz e 20 kHz.
