Una nuova tecnologia per bassi più limpidi: questa è la proposta di Klipsch R-101SW, subwoofer attivo della gamma Reference che propone performance di alto livello.
Uno dei punti di maggior interesse è dato dal woofer front firing da 10 pollici con cono in rame filato TCP (polimero cristallino termoforato). La resa sonora che ne risulta è chiara, priva di distorsioni anche alle frequenze più basse della gamma. A sostenere l’unità per i bassi interviene un amplificatore digitale integrato, capace di performance dettagliate e ad alta efficienza. La potenza erogata è di 150 W, con picco a 300 W. Numerose sono le funzioni disponibili: dalla gestione del volume al filtro passa-basso, senza contare l’autoaccensione. Per rendersi meglio conto del funzionamento, inoltre, è possibile osservare il LED di accensione frontale, visibile pure dopo aver installato le griglie. Griglie che, da par loro, sono a basso profilo, per una migliore acustica.
Il cabinet in MDF ospita connessioni a livello di linea e jack LFE RCA. La struttura esterna, antigraffio e rinforzata, registra misure relativamente compatte. 370 mm di altezza si affiancano a 356 mm di larghezza e a 500 mm di profondità. Il peso invece è di 13,9 kg, nella media per dispositivi di questo tipo.
