Diretto successore del CD-S1.1, il lettore CD Vincent CD-S1.2 offre tutto quello che serve per godere al meglio della propria collezione di compact disc.

Dal punto di vista tecnico è giusto segnalare la presenza di un convertitore analogico/digitale Burr-Brown PCM 1796 che opera a 24 bit/192 kHz. La sezione analogica vede l’azione di due valvole 6N16, capaci di regalare un suono omogeneo e immediatamente riconoscibile.

Con una risposta in frequenza compresa tra 20 Hz e 20 kHz, la soluzione in questione presenta una distorsione armonica totale inferiore allo 0,005%, con rapporto tra segnale e rumore maggiore di 94 dB e separazione tra canali superiore a 90 dB. Decisamente variegata la connettività: gli input includono prese coassiale, ottica e USB, mentre tra le uscite si segnalano quelle stereo RCA e XLR, coassiale e jack per cuffie da 6,3 mm.

Esteticamente si tratta di un apparecchio dalla stazza più importante rispetto ad altri prodotti del brand (ad esempio il Vincent CD-200). L’impatto visivo di Vincent CD-S1.2, in ogni caso, è di ottima fattura, sia nella variante Nero che in quella Silver.
